October 16Oct 16 Hi, welcome to the Scooter section of the club.Vespa, Lambretta, twist & go, big scooters (ADV, Silverwing, etc) are all welcome.
October 16Oct 16 Those ADV 350 look awesome, also the Honda Forza 750's, if you do lot's of on-road only road trips these are absolutely ideal, why would you need adventure bike if you do on-road stuff. even if you do a bit of off-roading then there is always the Honda X-ADVLooking to get a test ride on one at the next event. When i was in italy some of the big scooter bomb along, look a good bike to bang about on.
October 16Oct 16 Author These truly are the way forward. A friend of mine who is a die-hard Vespa fanatic recently bought one of these and tours the country and abroad on a whim. He reckons its comfy, reliable and economic so why not. However, I just read last week somewhere that the ADV and similar models are the most stolen bikes at the moment. (wonder if it is to use for food deliveries?)
October 17Oct 17 they reckon on these big modern scooters you can get so used to them that you never go back to normal bikes. So easy to ride.
October 17Oct 17 Author I remember reading years ago about a comparison on two bikes going down to Switzerland - one was a Silverwing (750cc I think) and the other was a naked/street bike (can't remember but it wasn't a tourer) but both compared economy, road performance, comfort, etc and the Silverwing won on everything :-)
